About Danyal
I’m a 23-year-old university student, and although I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE English, I didn’t always find English easy or natural. I remember feeling confused by exam questions and not really understanding what examiners wanted, even when I had ideas. My improvement came from learning clear exam techniques and simple structures for answering questions, which made a huge difference to my confidence and results. That’s why I enjoy tutoring - I know what it’s like to feel stuck or unsure, and I like helping students realise that English isn’t about being “naturally good,” but about having the right approach.

My GCSE English lessons are relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping students feel more confident with English, especially in exams. A lot of students know what they want to say but struggle to get it down on paper or run out of time, so I spend a lot of time on exam technique, planning, and structuring answers clearly. We work on both English Language and Literature, breaking questions down so they feel manageable and not overwhelming. I use simple, repeatable methods (like PEEL) so students always know how to start and build their answers. The aim is steady progress, better exam performance, and less stress around English.
