About Lana
My name is Lana, I’m currently a year 13 student studying Biology, Chemistry and Sociology. I achieved 3 9s, 4 8s a 7, 6 and M* in my GCSEs. Having struggled with English from a young age, and learning to speak English as a second language at age 6, I have developed skills to suit a range of abilities, with a particular strength in GCSE English Literature, I can help any student develop and strengthen their skills to tackle English in a wide variety of contexts. Currently predicted an A* in sociology and A in biology, my strengths lie in essay writing and implementation of abstract ideas built upon existing concepts. And as I have learnt English as a second language and faced the many hurdles which come with this, I can help you develop your own skill set in order to suit your needs. Hopefully meeting your goals in the way in which you would like! I would love to work with you!

In our lessons, I hope to address your long-term goals and create a tailored plan for you with short-term goals for each lesson. Additionally, I will provide support via message and email outside of lesson time to enable you to progress beyond our time together. I will aim to teach using abstract concepts developed to your needs, and based upon the curriculum which you’re following at school. Using this, I will tailor our lesson plans and come up with a schedule that works for you!
