About Keira
I’m a Computer Programming tutor with 6 years of experience teaching students from GCSE to university level. I specialise in Python, Java, C++, and core concepts like algorithms, data structures, OOP, databases, and software design. I also support web development, game projects, and technical interview prep.
Over the past 6 years I’ve helped beginners write their first programme, guided A-Level students through NEA coursework to top marks, and supported university students with assignments, debugging, and final year projects. My approach is practical and project-based. We code together, step by step, so you understand the logic and not just the syntax. I break down complex topics like recursion, pointers, APIs, and time complexity using clear examples and live demos.
Lessons are patient, supportive, and built around your goals. Whether you need to pass GCSE Computer Science, ace A-Level Paper 2, or build a portfolio for uni and jobs, I tailor every session to you. Lessons are hands-on and tailored to your level, whether you’re starting GCSE Python, building A-Level NEA projects, or working through University modules in Java, C++, algorithms, or data structures. We learn by coding together, not just watching slides.
Each session starts with your goal. Debug an error, understand a concept, or plan your coursework. I explain ideas like loops, functions, OOP, recursion, and sorting using simple examples and live coding. Then we apply them to real problems. You’ll write code, test it, break it, and fix it with my guidance so the logic sticks.
For GCSE and A-Level, we cover specification content, trace tables, pseudocode, and exam technique. I also support your NEA or coursework with planning, documentation, and testing strategies to hit the mark scheme. University students get help with assignments, project architecture, debugging, and understanding theory like complexity, databases, and software design.
Sessions are patient and practical. No question is too basic. We use your IDE, share screens, and build a GitHub-ready portfolio. You’ll leave with working code, clear notes, and next steps to practise. The goal is simple: make you an independent programmer who can read, write, and debug confidently.
