About Josh
Hi, I’m a GCSE student who achieved Grade 9 in French and am currently studying French at A-Level. I want to help other students improve their confidence and grades in KS3 and GCSE French by making the subject clearer and easier to understand.
Having recently completed the GCSE course myself, I understand the challenges students face and the exam requirements. I focus on breaking topics down into simple steps and practising key skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking.
I enjoy French and want to help others feel more confident in the subject, whether they are struggling or aiming for higher grades.

My approach to tutoring is focused on helping students understand and improve confidence in the core skills needed for GCSE and KS3 French: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I base my lessons on what the student is currently learning in school and adapt my support to their needs, whether that is grammar, vocabulary, exam practice or speaking confidence.
I use a step-by-step approach, breaking down topics into simple explanations and practising them through short exercises, conversation practice and exam-style questions. I also focus on helping students improve exam technique and avoid common mistakes.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I can adjust depending on the student’s needs.
I am a GCSE student who achieved Grade 9 in French and am currently studying French at A-Level, so I am familiar with the GCSE syllabus and exam requirements.
My lessons are for KS3 and GCSE students (typically ages 11–16) who want support with French, whether they are struggling or aiming to improve their grades and secure a grade 9.
