About Wade
Hello! I am a Gender Studies and Sociology Major (final year) at the University of Cape Town. My passions lie within these as well as writing, oral expression and comprehension. I seek to maintain a wholesome and caring learning environment, where commitment and enthusiasm is appreciated. My teaching methods revolve around the individual and their needs/areas of difficulty or desired improvement - focusing on what is already there, inserting useful tools and techniques best suited for both curriculum requirement and personal growth.
I promote "out of the box" thinking as I feel it is fundamental to creative thought. Additionally, in honing my research skills, I willingly seek out alternative/new ways of teaching and learning.
As a creative myself, I am aware of the inner need to express. My interests in language and communication as well as a deep passion for people, has always been central to the ways I navigate the world. I aim to create a safe space wherein which the individual realizes their abilities to achieve beyond the imagined. With this, I bring a sense of relatability, open-mindedness and mentorship.
