About the lesson

My teaching approach is flexible, student-centred, and outcome-focused. I begin by assessing each learner’s goals, whether improving general fluency, excelling in academic writing, or developing professional communication skills. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and may include: - Communicative and task-based learning to build confidence in real-life English use. - Structured grammar and vocabulary development integrated into authentic contexts. - Academic English support, including essay structure, critical analysis, and research writing skills. - Business English practice, such as report writing, presentations, negotiation, and formal correspondence. For academic or research tutoring, I also provide guidance on research design, reading academic papers critically, and writing at postgraduate or publication level. Typical Lesson Length Lessons usually last 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the learner’s schedule and goals. Intensive or extended sessions are available for exam preparation or academic projects. Qualifications and Experience I am a native English speaker and a PhD candidate with extensive university teaching and research experience. My background includes lecturing and supervising students in academic writing and communication skills at tertiary level, as well as mentoring researchers in effective academic publishing. I have taught students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds both in-person and online.
