About Dorsa

Hi there! My name is Dorsa and I am currently studying Health Sciences at University. Although a field of sciences is different than those of the arts or literature, I have spent my time in high school working with children ages 6-10 and junior youth ages 11-14 in all of these aspects! Sciences: Both physical and social sciences have been in my skill set since high school and with a degree in process in Health Sciences with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences, I am ready to provide the resources needed to develop life-long study skills early on for those yearning for competitive fields. I also offer the service of lesson preparations, making enhanced notes and study guides alongside working on application problems. Literature: I am an experienced English tutor specializing in ESL learners. I partner with students to develop confidence to approach test preparation, reading comprehension, writing development, and communication skills, ensuring students build confidence and independence with personalized study plans with homework and activities focused on real-world applications The Arts: I am a level 9 RCM Violinist and have majored in music performance and theory throughout high school. I have experience with the international Suzuki Music School and am ready to accompany young musicians in their passions!

About the lesson

Understanding and enjoying general science is essential for building a strong foundation in STEM and narrowing down future interests. My lessons focus on making science engaging and relatable, helping students develop the confidence they need in foundational knowledge. A typical session includes reviewing past material, introducing new concepts through real-world applications, and guiding problem-solving to reinforce understanding. I am also available to create study guides, flashcards, and mock tests based on your material so my students can get straight to what matters - developing transferable study methods!
