About Henriette
I am a final year student studying at Oxford. I have lived in both England and Germany with fluency in both languages. I have experience teaching young people as a teaching assistant, an outreach teacher and a youth leader, but I have also helped adults with conversational German and as an assistant at a summer school for international students at Cambridge University. I am on track to graduate from Oxford next summer with a degree in German, I have an A* in A-level German as well as 9A*s and 3As at GCSE.

My teaching method is varied and tailoring to the needs and goals of the individual. I believe that language teaching has so many different paths which can be taken to learning to speak and write naturally and comfortably. I would involve either syllabus work or current affairs, or discuss areas of interest for the individual. I would also strongly advise work with German literature whether basic, intermediate or advanced, I believe that it can be accessible to all and I can tutor and help in the understanding of these texts, whether for language learning, compulsory texts or interest in German culture. I have a particular personal interest in Kafka, Heine, Schiller, Lessing and medieval writings, but have studied a much broader literary sphere.
