About Kira
I am a German native who has been living in the US for 8 years. I am married to a US Marine and our daughter is being raised bilingual (English/German). I have an M.A in Political Science and Communications and teaching experience with university students (German as a second language) as well as helping my husband to learn and expand his German daily.

I know that everyone learns languages differently. In school, I learned English, Italian and Latin, and the approach was very formal (grammar, vocabulary). I enjoy it and like to approach language strategically. But my husband is more of a learn-by-doing type of person. He does not care to analyze grammar or sentence structure, but rather wants to converse in German and hear German. I like to get to know the person and decide what approach works best for them - after all, I am here to help you, and you know best what approach works for you.
