About Naomi
I’m Naomi, originally from the UK, and an experienced language tutor. I am qualified to teach Business English and to prepare students for international exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and Cambridge English, alongside working as a GCSE and A-level German tutor. If you’re struggling to communicate confidently in German or English, I can help you improve your skills, build fluency, and feel more secure using the language in real situations. My approach to teaching German is rooted in a strong interest in how languages develop, diverge, and function. This allows me to explain German clearly and logically, helping students truly understand how the language works. Lessons are fully personalised, typically 60 minutes long, and combine clear grammar explanations with colour-coded whiteboard notes, structured practice, and varied activities. As a keen language learner myself (having studied French, Dutch, Hebrew, Chinese, and Polish), I understand the challenges students face when expressing themselves in a new language. I taught German and English for several years in Berlin, both in person and online, and am very experienced in delivering engaging online lessons using a wide range of resources. I also have experience teaching younger learners, which means I incorporate games and interactive elements where appropriate. My lessons suit GCSE and A-level students as well as adult learners, and I place great importance on building confidence, interest, and enjoyment alongside exam success.
