About Cedric

Hi, I'm Cédric — a classical guitarist from New Brunswick, and helping people fall in love with the guitar is honestly my favourite thing in the world.
I'm currently finishing my Doctorate in Music Performance at the University of Toronto. Along the way, I was named one of CBC's 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30 and won First Prize at the Canadian National Music Festival two years in a row — but the moments I care about most happen in lessons, watching a student play something they didn't think they could.
My own path started on electric guitar: rock, blues, and metal, long before I fell into classical training. So I'm genuinely at home in both worlds, and I can meet you wherever your interest lies — whether that's fingerstyle Bach, a riff you can't stop humming, or just figuring out where to start.
Lessons are built around you — your goals, your pace, and the music that actually excites you. Complete beginners are just as welcome as advancing players looking to sharpen technique, tone, or repertoire.

About the lesson

Whether you're picking up the guitar for the very first time or looking to seriously level up your playing, my lessons are tailored to your goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I work with beginners, intermediate, and advanced players across classical, rock, blues, metal, and everything in between.
Preparing for RCM exams, university auditions, or competitions? I can take you there. Just want to play your favourite songs with no exam pressure? Equally welcome. My approach blends solid technique with real creativity — and a healthy dose of humour, because you learn a lot faster when you're relaxed and actually having fun. I don't take myself too seriously, so expect plenty of laughing alongside the practising.
