About Aim
With 9 years of experience as a piano tutor, I have taught students ranging from young beginners to advanced college learners and working professionals. My teaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive, motivating, and creative learning environment where students can build technical skills, musical understanding, and self-expression.
I have successfully guided students through recitals, competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve milestones and develop performance confidence. My lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive playing, while also encouraging creativity and exploration of different musical styles. I strive to make each lesson meaningful, engaging, and inspiring, cultivating a lifelong love for music in my students.

My teaching methodology is rooted in compassion, clear communication, and strong support. I understand that every student has a unique learning style and pace, so I tailor my lessons to meet individual needs. I believe that understanding the “why” behind every concept is as important as practising skills, so I ensure that students grasp both the theory and the feeling behind the music. Open communication is central to my approach—I encourage questions, listen carefully to goals, and provide constructive feedback that motivates improvement.
Supportiveness is key—I celebrate achievements, help students overcome challenges, and maintain a positive learning environment. This approach extends to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and basic improvisation.
My aim is to help students grow not just in skill but also in confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music and learning.
