About Tara
I am a gold medallist at the International Philosophy Olympiad, former member of the National Debate Team, and an Oxford graduate in Philosophy of Aesthetics, with a lifelong passion for critical thinking, ethics, and the history of ideas. Philosophy competitions taught me how to think clearly under pressure and present arguments persuasively—skills I now bring to my teaching. Growing up in Croatia and pursuing studies internationally at Sciences Po Paris, Columbia University, and Oxford University, I know what it takes to navigate competitive academic environments. I aim to give students not only strong philosophical knowledge but also the confidence and analytical skills to excel in exams, competitions, and university-level study, wherever their ambitions take them.

I specialise in Philosophy tutoring for secondary school, A-level, IB, and university students, as well as anyone seeking to deepen critical thinking and ethical reasoning skills. Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes and combine discussion, analysis of classical and contemporary texts, and guided practice in essay writing and argumentation. My methodology is interactive and student-centred: I encourage students to engage with ideas actively, question assumptions, and develop their own philosophical voice. Whether preparing for exams, competitions, or simply exploring big questions, I provide structured yet flexible guidance that builds both understanding and confidence.
