About Cecily
I'm a rising junior at Cornell studying Environment and Sustainability. I got in with a 32 ACT and a 9.5 GPA — not because my numbers were perfect, but because my story was. Outside of academics, I run marathons, hang out with my friends, and read.

I help high school students build college applications that tell one clear, compelling story — starting long before essay season. My approach is strategy first: we identify your narrative, then build outward from there — choosing the right schools and programs, developing passion projects, extracurriculars, volunteer work, and experiences that reinforce your story, and crafting every piece of your application around it.
I know this works because I lived it. I got into Cornell with a 32 ACT and a 9.5/12.0 GPA — not perfect numbers — because my application already had a story no one else could tell. I took an agroecology course, worked daily on my high school's farm, spent two summers as a plant genetics research assistant, led my school's environmental action club, and spent a semester researching food insecurity in the Bahamas. When it came time to write my essays, I didn't need to invent a narrative. I already had one. I now hold a 3.71 GPA at Cornell and am happy to share my application as a concrete example.
In our sessions we cover narrative strategy, school and program selection, Common App and personal statement development, Why School and Why Major supplements, activity descriptions, admissions tactics like professor outreach, and resume writing.
