About Oluwamurewa

Hi! I’m Murewa — a passionate and experienced pianist with ABRSM Grade 8 Piano (Distinction). I’ve performed in numerous concerts, recitals, and school competitions, often placing top in my category, and I regularly play at events, ceremonies, and church services. Music has been a core part of my life for many years, and I love sharing that passion with others through teaching.

I provide in-person piano lessons tailored to each student’s level, pace, and goals. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to build strong foundations, or an advanced player preparing for ABRSM exams or performances, I’ll guide you with clear structure, patience, and encouragement. My lessons focus on developing musicality, technique, and confidence at the piano while keeping learning enjoyable and inspiring.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each piano lesson to your individual goals, experience, and pace. Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for an ABRSM exam, I’ll help you build a solid foundation in technique, rhythm, and expression while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating.

Lessons typically include:
Technique development (scales, arpeggios, posture, and hand control)
Sight-reading and ear training
Repertoire building — from classical to contemporary and church music
Music theory and understanding musical structure
Performance skills and confidence building

I take a patient, encouraging, and structured approach, ensuring students not only progress but also enjoy the process of learning. I’m experienced in teaching children, teens, and adults, and I adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s personality and goals — whether you want to play for fun, for worship, or to achieve top grades in exams.

Lessons can also include performance preparation, improvisation techniques, and musicianship training for those interested in taking their playing to the next level.

Each lesson is tailored to your goals, ability, and pace, ensuring focused and enjoyable progress at every stage — whether we’re working in-person or online.

My availability can vary due to multiple day-to-day commitments, so lesson times will be arranged individually upon booking. I aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your schedule.
