About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered and tailored to individual learning styles. I believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where students feel empowered to engage actively in their learning process. My techniques involve a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussions to reinforce concepts and encourage critical thinking. Typically, lessons are structured to accommodate the complexity of the material and the needs of the students, ranging from 1 to 2 hours per session. However, I am flexible and adapt the length based on the progress and attention span of the learners. With a Master's and Honours degree in Architecture, along with 8 years of experience utilizing Revit and Photoshop and working with Carolyn McLean Architects, I bring a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to my tutoring sessions. Additionally, I have previous experience as a teaching assistant during my academic tenure, where I gained valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies and communication strategies. My lessons cater to individuals of all levels and ages who are interested in learning Revit, Photoshop, and design principles. Whether beginners seeking foundational knowledge or advanced users looking to refine their skills, I customize my lessons to meet the specific needs and goals of each student.

I have known my friend for over 15 years, and throughout that time, she has consistently impressed me with her dedication to teaching and her passion for architecture. She began teaching while still completing her bachelor’s degree and has continued to nurture that calling ever since. Her long-standing experience in education, combined with her formal training, has given her a solid foundation as a teacher who not only understands the subject matter deeply but also knows how to communicate it effectively.

She recently completed her Master’s in Architecture and now works professionally in the field while continuing to teach architecture students on the side. This unique balance between practice and teaching allows her to bring real-world insight into the classroom, enriching the learning experience for her students. She is exceptionally creative, with a natural ability to inspire and engage others through thoughtful design and imaginative problem-solving.

In addition to her creativity, she is highly proficient with architectural software and digital tools. Her technical skills complement her teaching style, as she is able to break down complex software functions and workflows in a way that is easy for students to grasp. She is patient, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that her students succeed.

Her blend of academic experience, professional expertise, creativity, and technical proficiency makes her an outstanding educator and mentor. Any program or institution would be fortunate to have her as part of their teaching team.
