Not only is Richard a professional saxophone player on all of the saxes: soprano, alto, and tenor, he is a teacher beyond any I have ever taken instruction from over the last 10 years. He is patient and understanding and tries to connect the instrument to the feelings of the student. When I take a lesson from Richard, it feels as though I’m a part of the instrument. It’s hard to understand how that can be, but it is absolutely correct. It is almost like a spiritual connection. The bottom line is, I cannot recommend him highly enough.
