About Anna Cristina

"I am a 29-year-old woman from Barcelona, Spain. Since I was very young, I've known that I wanted to become a childhood education teacher. Over the years, I also developed a passion for traveling. Teaching Spanish seemed to be the best option to combine my vocation and my passion, and the result has been completely satisfying!

I'm an outgoing, social, and positive person, and I try to bring these vibes into the classroom. Coming to class shouldn't be difficult or feel like an obligation; coming with enthusiasm and happiness is vital for a good learning process.

I've been teaching Spanish in Barcelona for 9 years, and during my trips around South East Asia and South and Central America, I always like to dedicate some of my time to teach Spanish to the kids or adults who show interest. It's so fulfilling to see how they run to their families and proudly show them what they've learned, isn't it?"

About the lesson

"Engaging and enjoyable lessons, typically lasting 45-60 minutes for adults (around 30-35 minutes for kids). My primary methodology focuses on conversation and oral practice. Following that, we apply the concepts in reading and writing tasks, along with some simple assignments for practice at home. We then have a thorough discussion and conversation about it afterwards. This approach fosters a friendly and respectful group dynamic, allowing students to express their doubts and concerns more easily.

I've applied this methodology throughout the entire year I've been a Spanish tutor, and the results have been fantastic. Would you like to give it a try?"

I had weekly meetings with Cristina for about 9 months during which we had a mix of conversation and grammar classes. Cristina is a great teacher who adapted to my level from the start and who was also very quickly able to see where I was still lacking and how to help me improve my spanish. I always felt comfortable during our conversation classes and Cristina always made the grammar segments very light but still educational. Would highly recommend her as a teacher!
