About Isobel
As someone whose degree focused primarily on teaching, I have established skills over the course of the 3 years to ensure I am confident enough to deliver sessions.
My desire to teach English specifically was cemented when I began studying English Language at A-Level, however that desire stems from growing up and witnessing my mum learn English herself.

As someone who has 90 sessions of online tutoring under my belt, I have established a successful approach to teaching. I place great importance of allowing my pupils to control how they learn; by giving them autonomy, I have found that - across the board - they become much more engaged in the session.
I always tailor my sessions towards the needs of my pupil. First sessions are always general and they are their to establish areas of improvement, so I can plan our sessions accordingly.
In September, I will be undertaking a Masters at the University of Bath in Teaching English as a Second Language, which no doubt will give me even more skills to better myself as an educator. The most important thing to not about our sessions is that my approach will always be calm, gentle and kind. Believe me when I say that I have been in your shoes!
