About Grace
Hi there! My name is Grace and I am a recent graduate of American University in Washington, DC. I have a deep passion for history and communications and love it when the two intersect. I have been a nanny and a tutor for over 4 years. I have a very adaptable teaching style as I have worked with a variety of students both in age, gender and ability. I have also worked with students with mental disabilities.

I believe that students can learn the most from conversations and engaging forms of media, including television, film, and good old-fashioned conversation, especially when it comes to history. With writing it is a bit more technical but conversation can be really helpful here as talking things out can be super beneficial instead of just seeing edits in red all over a page.
Not everyone has the same learning style, so for each student, the lesson plan will be different. This is the best part of a personal tutor!
Lessons are for anyone who is interested but subject matter wise this may be best for middle school, high school, and early college students.
