About Katherine
I am a very hardworking individual who is constantly growing, reflecting, asking questions, and aspiring to be better every day. Because of my standards I set for myself, I, in turn, help my students set high goals and standards themselves. I create a respectful classroom by holding expectationsof my students that I hold of myself as well; if I want my students to be respectful, I will be respectful towards them. I have also recently graduated from college, so I help my students see the bigger picture of the world outside of my classroom and teach them skills that can be used in every aspect of their lives.

I have a very bubbly personality with high standards and expectations which I promise to teach you. I put a lot of emphasis on spelling, grammar, and punctuation which I help teach through practice, dictation, and a ton of reading.
I believe in reading comprehension, so there is a lot of discussion and thoughtful questions in my class.
I am knowledgeable in teaching sophomore and junior on-level English, as well as AP Literature and AP Research (which makes me more knowledgeable with MLA citations, bibliographies, and research papers).
