About Crystal

I am a 39-year-old woman who was born in Arizona and moved to California when I was 5 years old. I am the middle child of 3 and was the second to graduate from college with my Bachelor. I have a passion for helping others and love being able to help children grow and learn in fun ways. I am fun, energetic, and love to laugh all of which I bring into my classroom. I am a dog mom and currently live in Los Angeles. I am currently in my second year of teaching.

About the lesson

My lessons are well thought out to ensure they are engaging and fun for my students. I provide a mini-lesson on the topic and then follow the I do, we do, you do model. I always try to find a way to include the interests of my students in the lesson. I also give my students a voice and choice on what works best for them when it comes to trying out the work that needs to be completed. I bring an entergetic energy to all lessons to show the kids we can have fun while learning. Mistakes are welcomed as they are a huge part of the learning process. We will find the mistake and discuss why it was incorrect. Students are empowered through these lessons to take risks.
