Graduate from Furman University in Music. I was primarily a voice student (Soprano- Music Theater/Opera) but was strictly piano from 5 until college. I miss music and would love to share my knowledge

About Casey
I grew up in rural Alabama but lived in South Carolina for the majority of my childhood and teen years. After graduating at the top of my high school class, I attended Furman University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I lived and performed in NYC for a few years but was forced to move home because of COVID-19. I now work in operations for Amazon. I have two cats, Mouse and Binx, who are consistently annoyed with my loud singing!

I have always loved music. My parents have old videos of me singing songs and playing keys on the piano as a toddler. Around 3 I began in Kindermusik and was sold! I started taking piano lessons twice a week from age six until college. Around my junior year of high school, I had really enjoyed being a part of a state champion choir and my choir director encouraged me to take voice lessons and audition for voice scholarships. One thing led to another and I was offered a full tuition scholarship to Furman University for Voice but still had keyboard classes to keep up my piano skills. While there, I learned music theory from top to bottom and how to sing safely. My range grew into a coloratura! I began to veer away from classical voice and found my home in Musical Theater. After a few lead roles, including Mimi in RENT and Eponine in Les Miserables) I graduated and moved to NYC to become a performer on Broadway. My career was cut short by COVID-19 and I moved back home to South Carolina. I now work in operations for Amazon but am ready to get back into music. What better way than to share my knowledge and love for the craft with others!
