Graduate from Kristin School. Currently in my gap year while awaiting to study Music Composition in the US in September. Keen to teach music theory, piano, music composition at all levels :)

About Martin
I want to teach music because I am passionate about it and want to help younger generations find their own creative expression. I have experience working with children both in my volunteer work at Physics Pathfinders (a student run NZ charity that offers physics workshops for children all over Auckland), and for my own Composition Club at Kristin, where I taught composition and held workshops for students in all year groups.

About the lesson

Lessons will be 1 on 1 sessions at either the student's house or a public facility.
Composition lessons will be focused on helping composers find their own creative voice, expand their horizons to compositional approaches, and learn compositional techniques.
Music theory lessons are for anyone who is looking to understand music on a more analytical level. This is perfect for current music students, anyone's looking to study music in the future, or students looking to take the ABRSM theory exams.
Piano lessons will be mainly for those at a beginner to intermediate level. Students will be assisted both in their technical abilities and artistic expression. Similar to composition, I want to help garner a personal voice for the student in their piano performance skills. I have over 12 years experience in piano performance, having won awards at the North Shore festival, and competed in the national chamber competition.
