About Kirsten
I have seven years of tutoring experience in the English and Language Arts department. Throughout that time, I have worked with students each with different types of learning styles, and thus I have learned along the way that I cannot use a cookie-cutter lesson plan but instead be open to developing more accommodating lesson plans that are best suited for each specific learning style. My seven years of experience have also given me plenty of opportunities to develop my skills in explaining difficult concepts to become more effective over time. Having recently graduated from college as a Writing and Communications student also allowed me to enhance my knowledge and skills as an English speaker, reader, and writer.

Details
I do not charge anything for the first meeting (typically 30 minutes to an hour), whether it’s in-person or online because I like to use this time to get to know each other along with letting the student ask me any questions about my services, experience, etc., and establishing the appropriate curriculum/lesson plan, the duration and frequency of each session, and payment terms and agreement before moving forward. I charge for all sessions after that.
