About Muireann
Having been a student in English-speaking schools while studying Irish, I completely understand what it feels like to start from scratch, while not always having many opportunities to practice it. I always loved languages from a young age, and found a new love when I discovered French in Secondary school also!
However, it was when I went to University and joined the Cumann Gaelach, started completing all my French classes through Irish and joining the French Society that I realized how important practice is when it comes to languages, and how much less daunting it is when you realize other people are struggling to find the word they're looking for, or how to use certain grammatical structures (I'm looking at you Tuiseal Ginideach!)
But not only this, when I was lucky enough to spend half a year in the Gaeltacht and the other half living in France, this is where it really hit me just how important practice and immersion is! Theory becomes a lot easier when it is put into practice, and languages are something that everyone can become great at. In my classes, if you are prepping for exams, trying to wrap your head around certain aspects of French or Irish, or just simply want the opportunity to try something new, we will cater to whatever the goal is to get the result you are after!

In my classes I like to focus on the importance of speaking, as this is crucial for languages especially, so time will be prioritized for practicing communication. Through this we will analyze the areas that are most challenging for you, and tackle them one by one!
In terms of the topics we will cover will be up to you! Whatever aspect of language it might be, grammar, oral or just confidence we can work on and up from whatever level you are!
