About Javier
I am a 22 year old male from San Antonio with a heart for books that goes back to when I was in preschool. I understand that not everyone is as thrilled to read as I was when I was young, but I make sure that I share the most engaging and legitimately fun parts of literature and English. I am currently teaching at a middle school, but need something to keep me sharp this summer. I promise I'm not your average stick-in-the-mud, ruler-slapping, book-clutching teacher; I just really like English.

My philosophy behind making lessons is that if I am not having a fun time grading it, then you aren't having a good time doing it. I like to relate lessons to real-world-application, so assessments don't feel useless. My lessons are targeted towards upper-middle/ high school students, as I have studied my state's Essential Skills and have been committed to implementing fundamentals through thought-provoking assignments. Also, I LOVE using music/lyrics as the base of my lessons.
