About Mary Theresa

I am a University of London LLB (Hons) 2:1 graduate passionate about helping students succeed in law. Having recently completed my degree, I understand the challenges students face and provide clear, structured, and exam-focused tutoring. My lessons are patient, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs, with continuous feedback and guidance to build confidence and strong academic performance. I believe every student can excel in law with the right guidance, structure, and encouragement. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students understand legal concepts, but also to build their confidence in answering problem questions, writing clear essays, and approaching exams strategically.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring & Teaching Style

I believe law is best learned through clear understanding, structured thinking, and consistent practice. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex legal concepts into simple, digestible explanations before guiding students to apply the law confidently in problem questions and essays. I also share concise notes and model answers after each session.

I use a step-by-step methodology:

1. Explain core legal principles in a clear and concise way

2. Use real exam-style questions to develop application skills

3. Teach structured answer techniques for essays and problem questions

4. Provide personalised feedback to improve writing and legal reasoning

A great tutor! Her teaching does not just end with facts of the subject, but she also teaches them in real-life applications. Very inspiring! The study materials are top-notch! I came to Superprof worried, and finding a tutor who would guide me to ace my exams. Ms. Mary Theresa was my hope and solution. Thank you very much, Ms.!
