Janessa teaches beginners to intermediate students online. In her lessons technique will always be taught in relation to existing pieces. In addition to that, she will focus on expression and interpretation. Lessons typically cover the fundamentals of technique and finger/hand positioning, scales and arpeggios and reading notated music, as well as more advanced areas of ear training, harmony and improvisation, all of which feed into a holistic understanding of the instrument and allow you to express yourself through music.
Janessa is a bassist, singer and songwriter. She has experience in teaching music to students of all ages. She also achieved a Bachelor Degree in Songwriting & Performance at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2022 and also is an active musician/artist in the Liverpool Music Scene. She is passionate about music, and she loves to pass on her passion to students. Janessa has a love for all genres of music, from jazz to rock and is available to help you achieve your musical goals. For the past 5 years, Janessa has been teaching music lessons for the following: guitar, vocals, bass, songwriting, and piano to students of all ages. In her lessons, you can expect a laid-back and attentive environment, which each lesson will be customized to create a unique curriculum that works for you!
