About Elaine
A student who has just completed the IB Diploma Programme with History, English Literature, and Chinese Language and Literature at Higher Level. Have received offers from University College London, King’s College London, Durham University and University of Hong Kong to study History. Have taught 4 MYP students ranging from Year 6 to Year 8 during a service opportunity at school.

I am confident of giving lessons to MYP students from Year 6 to Year 10, and would love to assist Year 11 students on their DP journey. I have had experience in delivering individual lessons and am familiar with giving lessons to groups of 2 to 3 students. I prefer having a knowledge of the student's current and target grade as well as interests. If the student is looking for constant improvement in the long run, I would love to deliver 1-hour or 1.5-hour lessons once or twice a week. My teaching style is interactive and I would provide the student with materials prepared beforehand, but am also happy use materials put forward by the student to resolve specific questions.

After partnering with Elaine in Learning Buddies, Chloe’s grade in Individuals and Societies increased from 5 to 6.
Elaine has had experience in teaching multiple students from Year 6 to Year 8, and has also organised her own help sessions to assist Year 11 and Year 12 students academically with History, English, Chinese and Maths.
