About Mason
Hello! I'm a passionate and experienced educator with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (K-12) from Southern New Hampshire University. My professional journey is driven by a simple belief: every child has the potential to succeed, and my role is to help them discover that strength within themselves. I specialize in supporting students who may feel reluctant or challenged in a traditional school setting. My professional experience includes: Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Teacher: In my current role, I work daily to develop and implement strategies for students requiring specialized academic and emotional support. This has given me extensive experience in patiently working with reluctant learners. K-12 Special Education Experience: I have a comprehensive background that includes working in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms, providing me with a deep understanding of how students learn and develop at every age. Beyond the Classroom My passion for helping others extends into my community. I am the proud founder of a local adaptive baseball program for players ranging from ages 4 to 30. This rewarding experience has given me invaluable insight into how individuals with diverse needs develop over time and has deepened my ability to build strong, trusting, and supportive relationships. I am confident, patient, and dedicated to meeting the unique needs of every student. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child thrive.

Every lesson I teach is a personalized and supportive experience designed to build both skills and confidence. My goal is to create a space where students, especially reluctant learners, feel understood and empowered to succeed. Here is what you can expect from our sessions: Customized to Your Child: Before we begin, I take the time to understand your child as both a learner and an individual. From there, every lesson is intentionally planned and modified to meet them exactly where they are, ensuring the material is challenging but never overwhelming. Engaging and Interactive: I believe in a healthy balance between focused work and fun. Our sessions are well-planned and highly interactive, using methods that keep students engaged, motivated, and eager to learn. This isn't just about worksheets; it's about active participation. Focus on Building Confidence: More than just completing assignments, my lessons are structured to help students understand their own strengths. I work to bring out the very best in them, fostering a sense of accomplishment that builds lasting confidence. Clear, Intentional Goals: Whether we are tackling a specific subject, working on organizational skills, or addressing behavioral challenges related to schoolwork, each lesson will have a clear and purposeful goal.
