About Amanda
I have studied Spanish for about 12 years now. While in high school I spent one summer in a language immersion program in Spain, in college during study abroad I interned in the ENT department of a Spanish hospital, and during the past academic year I worked as an English Teaching Assistant in Spain with the Fulbright program. I have given official Spanish classes to students aged 5-10 and have given English classes to students aged 4-17. I have experience teaching in both individual and group settings. In college I also tutored students in various levels of Spanish in areas such as grammar, writing, and reading comprehension.

My teaching method varies depending on the age, but I like to have students very engaged with the material. Whenever possible, I incorporate games, as I have found this to motivate students to participate while solidifying concepts and vocabulary and developing oral comprehension and production. I prefer to speak as little English as possible during my lessons.
