About Gracemary
I learned English when I was 18 year old in college. I taught myself by watching movies with subtitles in English and listening to music. Around that time I started to enjoy reading and would get everything in English to learn more. It was hard having to take an English literature class and not knowing how to speak. I forced myself to overcome my fear and by the end of the semester I was able to do a whole presentation in English without asking the professor how to say X word. It was so empowering. Even with my accent and horrible spelling at the time. Fast forward, I have been living in the US for 3 years and never felt more confident with the language.
