About Dewald
I generally have a very positive outlook on life. My students tend to feel more inspired after each lesson and most of my reviews has been praising me for my patience and the understanding I have with each individual. The student can be assured of quality content in each lesson.
After graduating from the UCT Opera School, I managed to land myself a day job, in order for me to focus my passion on music and not having to charge excessively in order to make lessons affordable to many more students. I have now been successfully teaching singing for four years privately.

My approach to teaching students centers on diagnosing incorrect usage of the various aspects of the voice, and correcting them - leading to a more positive vocal experience for the student. I teach in English as well as Afrikaans. Although not much can be achieved vocally in a single session, I excel at developing a clear path for a student to follow, so that they know where they're heading before embarking on the journey
