About Matthew
As a guitarist I have explored a number of performance styles and studied many musicians and their great work. Many artists have inspired my lifelong interest in the genres of Blues, jazz, classical, non western and contemporary guitar music. My current projects include practice based research in to the application of Jazz techniques in modern classical music, non western music such as Hindustani classical music, contemporary Nigerian guitar and heavy metal.
As my education progresses teaching has become a focal point through which I can strive to share the knowledge and techniques that I have accrued. And also to learn new things in the process, so that I can grow as an educator.
