About Alejandro
Alejandro Chapa is a freelance hornist and educator based in Houston, TX. Recently graduating from McNeese State University with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance, specifically French Horn/ Mellophone, Alejandro has had the opportunity in performing his collegiate years as principal Horn of the McNeese State University Wind Symphony as well as performing as 4th Horn with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.
Alejandro has experience and a passion for teaching music education, instructing French Horn lessons/master classes as well as helping marching bands. Alejandro has also played Mellophone for the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps both in 2019 and 2021, as well as having previously taught for the Louisiana Stars Drum & Bugle Corps in 2022.
Alejandro is a strong advocate for the arts, striving to build passion within students by honing in a craft such as music.

I have different teaching approaches specific to the student’s level, from Middle School through High School (5th-12th grade), covering basic fundamentals as well as various repertoire.
