About Melissa
I fell in love with English and writing the first time I read a book on my own. I continued to pursue writing up until I reached my freshman year of college. I took a big turn and decided to major in Criminal Justice. What does being in Law Enforcement have to do with how well I can help you learn English? Well, it doesn't. It just shows that, even after taking that turn, I came back to my passion to pursue my Master's in English and Creative Writing. I want to help bring that love of language and literature to others. I am dedicated to helping those who want to learn and grow.

English can be such a broad subject. Whether you are slogging through Shakespeare or staring at a blank research paper, I'm here to help. My teaching style encompasses all learning types. I myself am a visual and hands on learner, but I know that everyone is different. I will not try to teach you what you already know. I want to get to the heart of what you are trying to learn and lead you to understanding. My education extends to Masters level English, so all levels of learners are welcome as well.
