About Keyona
I'm Keyona Fazli, a dedicated scholar and musician, who has been teaching for over 10 years.
I recently completed my Masters of Letters (MLitt) in Modern and Contemporary Literature and Culture at the University of St Andrews, I am deeply passionate about sharing my literary knowledge and helping students achieve their goals.
My musical experience includes performing in the St Andrews Symphony Orchestra for the last several years and receiving an award from ABRSM in 2015 when my student achieved an incredibly high distinction score on her ABRSM Violin exam. I have been teaching in this industry for over a decade and am very excited to usher in a new group of musically talented students.

About the lesson

For Violin:
- For beginners I would recommend 30 minute lessons, which will build on their confidence and strengthen their initial skills
- For intermediates and more advanced students I would recommend 45-60mins to allow them to hone their skills
- Strong foundations are built on scales, sight-reading, and Schradieck, with students then working on pieces that will suit the stage of playing they are at
- All lessons will be in person and will involve a combination of demonstration and repeated practice
For Music Theory:
- Depending on experience level, I will build on the student's knowledge and create a strong foundation in music theory
- I will aid in preparation for music theory exams, especially from ABRSM
- These lessons can be online or in person
