About Yuanyi
# About Me I am an enthusiast of Chinese literature and philosophy, with a deep passion for writing. I have worked as a part-time editor and also volunteered as a rural teacher, where I taught children various subjects. During my college years, I majored in business. Back then, I often helped my classmates with supplementary tutoring—my strength lies in explaining complex concepts in simple, student-friendly ways that are easy for learners to grasp. Currently, I work as a tech headhunter and also have experience in entrepreneurship. My goal is not only to teach you authentic Chinese but also to help you understand what is happening in present-day China. I find great joy in pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone, which is why I love traveling abroad and making friends from different countries. I adopt a "scenario-based interaction + targeted reinforcement" approach:
Pronunciation Correction: Use a three-step method ("sound breakdown + comparative listening + real-scene practice") instead of simple repetition. For tricky sounds (e.g., retroflexes), I first explain mouth muscle movements with clear demonstrations, then use audio comparisons (standard vs. common errors) to train listening, and finally practice with daily/ business phrases.
Business Chinese: Focus on "task-driven learning" by simulating real scenarios (meetings, emails, client reception). I also add cross-cultural business etiquette (e.g., address customs) to avoid misunderstandings.
Cultural Concepts: Integrate culture with language. For example, when teaching festival vocabulary, I explain traditions and cultural logic of Spring Festival; when teaching conversations, I note Chinese communication styles (e.g., indirect expressions) to help learners understand cultural roots.
