Hi dear friends,

My name is Anyangrui, you can call me Ann. I'm from mainland China, and have just graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor degree in Media, Film Studies and Communication.

My interests
- Photography: I love landscape, portrait and street photography
- Watching films, I love to watch various films; it's hard to pick one favorite.
- Sports, I love basketball, frisbee, and soccer. Actually, I enjoy playing every sport!

You might be wondering why I want to be a Chinese Tutor:
I want to use my native speaker skills to help people who are interested in Chinese.
I am here to be a Chinese tutor who can practice Mandarin with people and help them to be more confident to speak fluent Mandarin. Although this is the first time for me to be a "teacher", I am so passionate to help people in learning Chinese.

I also see this as a learning experience for myself. My goal is to create a relaxed, friendly space where you feel comfortable speaking Chinese.

I want to be here as your study friend, come to me if you are interested in Chinese language and culture.

About the lesson

️ Customize Course Material
- I design the material based on your interests, goals and current level in Chinese.

️ Four Core Skills Development
- Speaking Chinese: I design Chinese dialogue based on your levels and we can practice real-life conversation together. You can improve your pronunciation, fluency and confidence in speaking Mandarin naturally.

- Listening Chinese: Practice with structured dialogues. Helping you understand authentic spoken Chinese.

- Reading Chinese: You can provide your interested Chinese readings and I will prepare a lesson for you to read or I find some readings (e.g. story, articles, news etc.) based on your level. We work together to improve comprehension and vocabulary.

- Handwriting Chinese: I know writing Chinese Character汉字 can be challenging for learners. If you are particularly interested in writing, I would love to guide you step-by-step to write clear handwriting.

You could choose one or two parts that you want to focus on.
There will be a small amount of assignment after each lesson, they are designed to help you review what you learned.
Additional practice materials would be provided if you need.
