About Luis
As a recent graduate from UCSB, I have learned a plethora of reading and writing skills for all kinds of avenues such as professional, creative, or research writing. My passion derives from being a life-long student and my hope is to extend this passion to my students. I believe in a strict learning regiment which is created by having a fun and entertaining outlook to make learning more enjoyable (Work hard/ play hard). I would like to push students to do their absolute best but completely understand that others learn at different paces.

I take a straight forward approach to teaching meaning weekly reviews and quizzes regarding the lessons taught that week. Vocabulary and reading will be an essential part to English learners. I hope to make review and learning as fun as possible for the students by making it more interactive and student focused rather than speaking and lecturing. I hope to make the lessons accessible and adaptable for all levels of English learners. As a tutor I am very down to earth meaning I am approachable and love receiving feedback on how I can make the learning experience better for my students.
