About Stefan
Hey! I am Stefan, a former law student with a passion for languages. In January 2022 I will move to France to learn French. (which is why the classes are online). I have lived in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Brussels and Vilnius (Lithuania) and made many international friends there. Their different languages and cultures have always fascinated me, and I ended up in teaching because of a project in Vilnius where everyone taught in their native language. I like music (which is also an excellent way to learn a language), sports and travelling. In addition, it gives me energy to help people and to explain things that are unclear to them. A few years ago I took a coaching course. My supervisor noticed at the time that with every tip I gave there was a story about the 'why'. My lessons also look like this: by explaining the reason behind certain rules (for example Dutch pronunciation), I make the material understandable (and therefore easier to remember). You are most welcome to speak to one of my (former) students about their experiences with me. I can connect you.
My lessons are tailored to the student's concerns. For example, do you think it is important to be able to make your intentions clear and to be understood? Or is the priority in writing a grammatically perfect letter?
I have two years of experience in language teaching. Before that I was a korfball coach for several years. My classes are intended for anyone over the age of 12 and for all levels.
