About Safira
Just graduated from the department of International Relations, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Although this is my official experience as a tutor, but practically I have enough experience. In 2015, I was in the unit manager position for a short film project. In 2016 I became a delegation from UMM at an international conference in Germany (Model United Nations In University Of Passau), which eventually led me to become the general secretary at MUN Club UMM the following year. Still in 2017, I became the head the first international student community sevice program (KKN) held in the Meinung district, Taiwan. In 2018 I had the opportunity to undergo an internship at the DPM-PTSP of the West Nusa Tenggara province and learn directly from experts and world-class investors about managing regional assets through collaboration between the government and relevant investors.

In 2019-2020 I became a peer tutor (Sahabat BIPA UMM) for foreign students who were studying Indonesian Language for a year. Through this opportunity I can apply practical methodologies to foreign student friends such as film reviews and Indonesian songs to add vocabulary, shop at markets and supermarkets, and introduce them to my family so that they understand how the language and lifestyle of native families from Indonesia. As for school students (primary / secondary) I prefer to use a game or quis method to prevent boredom while studying. Or if I have the chance, I might invite them to interact directly with friends of foreign students to increase the confidence of the two parties in interacting.
