About Lance
Picking up the guitar felt like a weird necessity after listening to too many records. I hold a BM in Guitar from Berklee College of Music and have spent 13 years refining my craft while balancing life as a performer in San Francisco. My days are spent teaching students who range from absolute beginners to those prepping for an EP release.
I guide players through power chords, music theory, ear training, and grade exam prep. You will also find me covering reading sheet music, improvisation and soloing, chord transitions, and scales and modes. Music is mostly about finding your groove.

I leverage my 13 years of professional stage work to keep our time together direct and groove focused. Expect to work on your technique while keeping the end goal of your EP or open mic set clearly in sight.
This process remains straightforward for all students in New York, London, and Melbourne. We stick to the mechanics of the instrument to build your confidence for live performance.
