About Julianne
Teaching exists because I enjoy seeing someone bridge the gap between confusion and clarity. Playing guitar involves more than just memorizing shapes.
I work with 363 students to demystify power chords and barre chords. Theory helps you understand why blues progressions sound the way they do.
Improvisation and soloing require practice with strumming patterns and reading sheet music. Grade exam prep is a standard part of what I offer. Let me know when you are ready to start playing.

Ever feel like your fingers just refuse to cooperate on a simple chord change? Why does improvising feel like guessing instead of playing music? I fix these frustrations by applying the methods I learned during my degree at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. Blues progressions become easier when you understand the underlying theory.
Reading sheet music stops being a chore once you connect it to physical strumming patterns. We can prepare for grade exams or just focus on soloing.
My background informs the way I break down barre chords. You will find that even difficult techniques become manageable over time. I look forward to hearing your progress on the guitar.
