About Lyra

My journey as a guitar teacher began with a deep fascination for rhythm, harmony, and expressive possibilities. I earned a B.A. in Contemporary Guitar and Music Performance, studying both performance and pedagogy. Over 9 years, I have guided students of all ages and backgrounds, helping them develop solid technical skills while exploring creativity and musical interpretation.

I emphasize a teaching style that combines patience, encouragement, and structure. I believe learners thrive when lessons are clear, achievable, and tailored to their individual strengths and interests. I focus on building both technical proficiency and musical understanding, ensuring students feel confident and inspired while learning.

Beyond teaching, I continue exploring new techniques, genres, and performance approaches to enrich my lessons. Guitar teaching is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow in skill, confidence, and expressive freedom, discovering their unique voice and connection to music along the way.

About the lesson

Guitar lessons become most meaningful when learners feel both supported and inspired to explore music creatively. My approach emphasizes proper posture, finger technique, chord transitions, scales, improvisation, and rhythm, all presented in a clear, structured, and encouraging manner. Lessons integrate musical theory with practical application, ensuring that students understand why certain techniques work, not just how to perform them. Each session fosters confidence, focus, and joy in playing, helping students see steady progress while developing personal expression.

Lesson content is adapted to the student’s level and goals. Beginners focus on open chords, simple melodies, strumming patterns, and rhythm coordination. Intermediate learners explore barre chords, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation basics, and stylistic interpretation. Advanced learners work on complex phrasing, solo composition, advanced techniques, and performance readiness. Every session includes constructive feedback, reflection, and practical exercises, ensuring lasting skill development and musical understanding.
