At 6 years of age in early musical education
At 9 years of age, first guitar lessons at the music school
From 11 to 17 years of age, private lessons with my guitar teacher with a focus on pop and blues from the 60s / 70s
From 17 years of age self-taught development with special interest in funk and indie
At 23 Founding of my band Einsneunzig, many appearances all over Germany

Since I only work with beginners, the first thing I want to do is to get straight into the music after a brief explanation of the most important basics (structure of the guitar). It all starts with chords and rhythm and the coordination of both hands. After having mastered most of the open chords, we then turn to the so-called barre fingerings. At this point I let my first music theory flow in and we broaden our horizons to read the first notes. So the first scales follow until we finally get into the blues and improvisation and make use of the CAGED system.
