The smell of aged cedar resonates from my instruments as I recall the 11 years spent navigating the complex rhythms of Latin music. My hands have worn down frets in clubs across Australia while maintaining the discipline required by my formal music degree. These 11 years of playing have shaped a perspective rooted in the tradition of the Chilean nueva-canción movement.
I have guided many students through the intricacies of flamenco, Argentine folk, and the technical demands of electric guitar. The breadth of my experience allows me to communicate everything from nuanced fingerpicking to complex lead guitar passages with clarity. Sharing the heritage of these styles remains a central pillar of my professional life. My approach is defined by patience and an articulate understanding of the technical hurdles involved in mastering the fretboard.
When I am not teaching, I find myself deeply engrossed in the study of music theory or composing new arrangements. It is a genuine privilege to connect with others who share a sincere devotion to the guitar.
