About Raelene

I earned a PhD in Contemporary Music Studies and have 12 years of experience teaching guitar. My musical journey began through a deep interest in performance, composition, and exploring different genres of music. Over time, I discovered a passion for teaching and helping others experience the joy of learning an instrument.

My teaching approach emphasizes adaptability, encouragement, and practical skill development. I work closely with students to understand their goals and design lessons that support their progress. Through technical training, creative activities, and performance coaching, I help learners build confidence and musical ability. Every student receives guidance that matches their unique learning path.

Outside teaching, I enjoy composing music, performing live, and studying modern guitar techniques. These experiences allow me to bring fresh inspiration into every lesson. Teaching guitar is fulfilling because I get to help students achieve goals they once thought were difficult. Watching their growth as musicians continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are designed to help students become confident musicians while enjoying the process of learning. We explore chords, rhythm training, fingerstyle techniques, lead guitar skills, improvisation, ear training, music theory, and song performance through practical exercises and engaging activities. I encourage learners to understand the music they play rather than simply memorizing patterns. This helps create lasting musical confidence.

Lessons are tailored to fit the student's skill level and musical interests. Beginners build strong foundations through chord transitions, rhythm exercises, and simple songs. Intermediate players improve technique, timing, and stylistic versatility. Advanced students focus on improvisation, musical interpretation, and performance development. Personalized feedback helps learners continue progressing toward their goals.

I believe music learning should inspire creativity and self-expression. My lessons provide a supportive atmosphere where students can experiment, grow, and enjoy making music. As skills develop, learners gain confidence both on and off the instrument. My goal is to help students become well-rounded guitarists who enjoy every stage of their musical journey.
