About Bud

I have been paying guitar for a little over 35 years. I started when I was 10 years old, and for years I would practice up to 8 hours a day. Playing in bands from an early age, I also learned to play drums, bass, and some piano. I eventually went to college and studied classical guitar and music theory/piano, and during the summers I would go on tours as the bassist for a heavy metal band called Exhumed. After college I started giving private guitar lessons, and during this time I was practicing 8-12 hours a day! With all that time to practice, I learned a lot of stuff...different styles like country and a little jazz, picking techniques, recording, and more instruments such as banjo, mandolin, and the lap steel guitar. Not to mention massively tightening up my guitar chops. Fastforward a decade or two and I'm still playing guitar for hours a day! My dad always said "Bud, you can't take it with you" so I want to share all the things I've learned with you, if you're ready for it!

About the lesson

-Lessons are for all skill levels, from beginner all the way up to advanced.
-I pride myself on being able to break things down so you can understand things clearly and progress as fast as possible.
-Most lessons are a half work half play structure, meaning we'll spend some time learning anything you want (play), and some time developing your skills (work) through exercises, drills, and/or concepts.
-My goal is to get you to be as good as you want to be...and perhaps even a bit more, if you'll let me :)
